…………….Beyond me lies
The Mountains’ massive chain.
Their brows uplifted and their huge arms bare,
That reaching upward, clasp the middle air
As though to twine about their foreheads fair,
…………….From fleecy skies
….The vapor’s misty train.
…………….The purple tide
Of distance rolls between,
And yet their rugged heights in martial rows
(Rim’d with diadems of last year’s snows)
Stand in their sorted ranks that yet disclose
…………….About each rugged site,

I was coming down the stair;
….He was standing in the hall,
….And he looked so grand and tall,
As he stood and watched me there.
….Gliding by with smiling look,
….I would pass him, but he took
Both my hands and whispered near:
“Won’t you kiss me, pretty dear?”
Oh, the stupidness of men!
….What could I have said but “No,”
….Blushingly, and bid him go,
And not bother me again?
….Then he left, nor…

Robert Frost — 1874 — 1963
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day! …
One day you become enthusiastic about photography, and find yourself jumping at every opportunity to take photos and to improve your work. You keep this up for a while, but slowly the enthusiasm you once had starts to fade. You start feeling like you’ve stagnated in your growth, and that you’re just doing the same old thing, over and over again.
How can you rekindle the passion you once had for photography? If you haven’t hit the wall yet, how can you avoid running into it?
Well here are 8 simple tips for keeping yourself motivated in photography!
A Bird came down the Walk —
He did not know I saw —
He bit an Angleworm in halves
And ate the fellow, raw,
And then he drank a Dew
From a convenient Grass —
And then hopped sidewise to the Wall
To let a Beetle pass —
He glanced with rapid eyes
That hurried all around —
They looked like frightened Beads, I thought —
He stirred his Velvet Head
Like one in danger, Cautious,
I offered him a Crumb
And he unrolled his feathers
And rowed him softer home —
Than Oars divide the…
They have a hidden talent, the ability to make everyone stop in their tracks and take in their beauty. No matter how many times we’ve seen them, there’s something about those colors in the sky that never loses its intrigue. Part of what makes them intriguing, perhaps, is just how short-lived they are! Rainbows appear and disappear in a moment, giving us just a brief window to capture and enjoy them.
But rainbows aren’t just challenging because of their fleeting nature — it can be extremely challenging just to capture a genuinely outstanding rainbow photo. Often, what you see in…
Weekly Poems to Motivate you in Photography
by Rudyard Kipling.
THEY shut the road through the woods
Seventy years ago.
Weather and rain have undone it again,
And now you would never know
There was once a road through the woods
Before they planted the trees.
It is underneath the coppice and heath,
And the thin anemones.
Only the keeper sees
That, where the ring-dove broods,
And the badgers roll at ease,
There was once a road through the woods.
Yet, if you enter the woods
Of a summer evening late,
When the night-air cools on the trout-ringed pools
